Hi there. Stay awhile. Spend money.

I lived in Revelstoke, BC for over 20 years. I like mountains and flowers. Currently, I live in Victoria.

I'll try to keep this interesting. Your time is valuable, and I appreciate that.

I've always been amazed by the things a recorded image is capable of. The best images are evocative, unique, and inspiring. I believe that the very best also include an element of storytelling. A human element. My favourite photographers Steve McCurry, James Nachtwey, and Andre Kertesz all achieved this, but with vastly different backgrounds and subject matter.

I hope to develop my own legacy.*

I fell in love with photography shortly after my dad bought his first digital camera, a Fuji FinePix 6800 Zoom. It didn`t take long before I had my own, a 4800 I picked up on Ebay. From there, I moved on to bigger and better cameras, loving close-ups, landscapes, and urban shooting. Soon, I wanted more. I wanted to make something of it. On the advice of a friend and former student, I went to Victoria and attended the Western Academy of Photography's Written Image course, followed by the second-year class, Advanced Visual Communications. I wanted to pursue photojournalism, driven by my love of candid photography and visual storytelling. My long-term goals are to one day produce my own book and a documentary.

*Caution: photographer's pun.
